Governing Council with the previous approval of the Visitor hereby makes the following amendments to the First Statutes of the National Institute of Design Ahmedabad

5. In Statute 31, clause (d), the substitution of "Activity Chairperson, Education" for "Academic Chairperson."

संिोधन करती ह,ै नामत:-
1. सजं िप्त िीषका और आरंभ- (1) इन संजर्जधयों को राष्टर ीय जडिाइन संस्ट्थ ान, अहमदाबाद की प्रथम संजर्जध (संिोधन),
2020 कहा िाए।
(2) य े संजर्जधयां इनके िासकीय रािपत्र म ें प्रकािन की तारीख से प्रभार्ी होंगी।
2. राष्टर ीय जडिाइन संस्ट् थान, अहमदाबाद, 2017 की पहली संजर्जध (इसके बाद इस े संजर्जधयां कहा गया ह)ै म ें
संजर्जध 2, खंड (1), उप-खंड (ख) में ‘अनुसंधान और प्रकािन’ िब् दों के बाद ‘एकीकृत जडिाइन सेर्ाए’ं िब् द िोडे िाएगं े।
3. उक्त संजर्जधयों म,ें संजर्जध 14, खंड (1) म-ें
(i) उप-खंड (ख) म ें ‘फोटोग्राफी और प्रदिना ी जडिाइन’ िब् दों के स्ट्थ ान पर ‘फोटोग्राफी जडिाइन और प्रदिानी
जडिाइन’ िब् द रख े िाएंग;े
(ii) उप-खंड (ग) म,ें जनम्न जलजखत खंड रखा िाएगा, नामत:-

िीर्निैली संबंधी सहायक र्स्ट्त ुओं म ें जर्िेषज्ञता म ेंअग्रणी हो।’
4. उक्त संजर्जधयों म,ें संजर्जध 29, खंड (2) म ें परंतुक म ें ‘जर्षय समन्र् यक’िब् दों के स्ट्थ ान पर ‘जर्षय प्रमुख’ िब् द रख े
िाएंगे।
5. उक्त संजर्जधयों म ें संजर्जध 31 म,ें खंड (घ) म ें ‘िैिजणक अध्य ि’ िब् द के स्ट् थान पर ‘दियाकलाप अध् यि, जििा’
िब् द रख े िाएंगे।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th July, 2020
F. No. NIDA-GC-143-144-2016(E).—In exercise of powers conferred by clause (e) of sub-section (2) of
section 14 read with sections 28 and 29 of the National Institute of Design Act, 2014 (18 of 2014), the Governing
Council, with the previous approval of the Visitor, hereby makes the following amendments to the First Statutes of the
National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.—(1) These Statutes may be called as the First Statutes of the National Institute
of Design, Ahmedabad (Amendment), 2020.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the first Statutes of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, 2017 (hereinafter referred to as the said statutes)
in Statute 2, in clause (1), in sub-clause (b) after the words “research and publication”, the following words
“integrated design services” shall be inserted.
3. In the said Statutes, in Statute 14, in clause (1),-
(i) in sub-clause(b) for the words “Photography and Exhibition Design”, the following words “Photography
Design and Exhibition Design” shall be substituted;
(ii) for sub-clause(c), the following clause shall be substituted, namely:-
“(c) Faculty of Textile, Apparel and Lifestyle Accessory Design leading to specialisation in Textile Design,
Apparel Design and Lifestyle Accessory Design;”.
4. In the said Statutes, in Statute 29, in clause (2), in proviso for the words “Discipline Coordinator” the following
words “Discipline Lead” shall be substituted.
5. In the said Statutes, in Statute 31, in clause (d) for the words “Academic Chairperson”, the following words
“Activity Chairperson, Education” shall be substituted.
