awareness campaign for women waste pickers at the Fine Arts Cultural Centre, Chembur,
Mumbai, under the NAMASTE Scheme.
The programme was organised as part of the TB Mukt Mumbai campaign, launched by
Maharashtra Lok Bhavan in association with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
On the occasion, the Governor and actor Jackie Shroff distributed Ayushman Bharat Health
Cards and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to women waste pickers.Among those present were Sushila Sable, Vice President of the International Alliance of Waste
Pickers; Asha Marathe, Corporator and Chairperson of the Ward Committee; Prajakta Lavangare
