The Tamil Nadu Government Gazette, published on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, No. 9, announces Notifications by the Government in Part III-Section 1(b) concerning Service Rules including Ad hoc Rules, Regulations, etc., issued by Secretariat Departments.
Specifically, the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department has issued amendments to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Regulations. (G.O. Ms. No. 113, Personnel and Administrative Reforms (M), 15th November 2016).
No. SRO B-12/2017. In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 318 of the Constitution of India, the Governor of Tamil Nadu has amended the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Regulations, 1954 (Volume-I of the Tamil Nadu Services Manual, 1987). The amendments are deemed to have come into force on the 9th August 2011.
The amendments include:
1. After regulation 7-C, the following regulation shall be inserted, namely:- "7-D. The Chairman and the Members of the Commission shall be under the purview of the State Vigilance Commission and Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption."
2. In Annexure II, in rule 7-A, the expression "except the Chairman and Members of the Commission," shall be omitted.
