To collaborate with private entities for restoration of heritage structures, there is a provision under the
National Culture Fund (NCF).
NCF, a trust under Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, serves as a financing mechanism for enabling-
donor/sponsor institution to support Protection, Restoration, Conservation and Development of India’s
rich tangible and intangible culture and heritage (Monuments/Cultural Traditions) directly as partners with
the Government.
ASI undertakes heritage conservation using traditional methodology keeping in mind the authenticity and
integrity of the heritage structure to enhance visitor experience. ASI also engages local artisans in heritage
conservation thus giving employment opportunity to the locals.
