The National Archives of India, in collaboration with the Department of Higher Education, Government of
Nagaland, proudly inaugurated a unique archival exhibition titled “Development of Education in North
Eastern India” at the Capital Convention Centre, Kohima. This landmark exhibition highlights the historical
evolution and strides made in the field of education in the North East, particularly Nagaland, through rare and
insightful archival documents.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated by Shri Temjen Imna Along, Hon’ble Minister of Higher Education
and Tourism, Nagaland. During the ceremony, the Hon’ble Minister also launched the Digital Exhibition and
unveiled the Exhibition Brochure, marking a significant milestone in preserving and promoting the
educational heritage of the region.Other dignitaries present at the inaugural ceremony included Dr. Tseilhoutuo (Ato) Rhutso, MLA, Shri Samar
