Order: No.31, Human Resources Management (N-Spl), dated: 23rd February 2024. As per rule 16 of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta Rules, 2018, framed in the Government Order first read above, the Chairperson and Members of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta shall be entitled to pension, at the rate fixed by the Government. In the letters second to fifth read above, the Secretary, Tamil Nadu Lokayukta has requested the Government to fix the Pension, Family Pension, Gratuity and Encashment of Earned Leave in respect of Chairman and Members of Tamil Nadu Lokayukta. 2. The Government, after careful examination have decided to fix the rate of Pension at a consolidated amount of Rs.40,000/- per month to the Chairperson and Members of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta and order as follows:- "(1) Under sub-rule (1) of rule 16 of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta Rules, 2018, the pension of the Chairperson and Members of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta is fixed at a consolidated amount of Rs.40,000/- per month, who have been in the service of the Union or a State Government and in receipt of a pension for the services rendered earlier. . (2) Under sub-rule (2) of rule 16 of the said Rules, the pension of the Chairperson and Members of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta is fixed at a consolidated amount of Rs.40,000/- per month, who was a non-official, that is, who was not in the service of the Union or a State Government earlier. Provided that no such Pension shall be payable to Chairperson and Members of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta,- (a) unless he/she has completed not less than three years of service as the Chairperson or Member of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta combined together. (b) if he/she has been removed or resigned from office as Chairperson or Member of the Tamil Nadu Lokayukta. Provided further that the sum of the pension for the earlier service and the pension sanctioned under the said rules shall in no case exceed Rs.1,25,000/- per month in respect of the Chairperson and Rs.1,12,500/- per month in respect of a Member."
