NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th January, 2016
No. MCI-23(1)/2015-Med./163044.—In exercise of powers conferred by Section 33 of the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Medical Council of India with the previous sanction of the Central Government
hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the “Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000”
namely:-
1. (i) These regulations may be called the “Postgraduate Medical Education (Amendment) Regulations, 2015.”.
(ii) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the “Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000”, further amended till 17-04-2013, the following
additions shall be made as indicated therein:-
(i) In Clause 12(1) of the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000, under the heading “Number of Post
Graduate Students to be admitted”, in 2nd paragraph after the subject Radiotherapy “Psychiatry” shall also be
added.
(ii) In Clause 12(2) of the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2000, under the heading “Number of Post
Graduate Students to be admitted”, in 2nd paragraph after the subject Radiotherapy “Psychiatry” shall also be
added.
