53) की धारा सं. 26 की उपधारा (3) के द्वारा प्रदत्त अजधकारों के अनुसार जिश्वजिद्यालय-काययकाररणी पररषद के द्वारा, जिश्वजिद्यालय
के कुलाध्यक्ष िहोदय की स्ट्िीकृजत के साथ पांजडच्चेरी जिश्वजिद्यालय अजधजनयि 1985 की संजिजधयों िें जनम्नजलजखत संिोधन दकये िा
रहे हैं :
1. दकसी व्यजि को जिश्वजिद्यालय के दकसी भी प्राजधकरण के सदस्ट्य के रूप िें चुने िान ेके जलए अयोग्य घोजषत दकया िाएगा
i) इन संजिजधयों को पांजडचेरी जिश्वजिद्यालय (संिोधन संबंधी) संजिजध 2021 कहा िा सकता ह।ै
ii) ि ेआजधकाररक रािपत्र िें अपन ेप्रकािन की तारीख से लागू होंगे।
2. पांजडचेरी जिश्वजिद्यालय, 1985 ि,ें संजिजध 36 (1) (ए) िें:
(a) संजिजध 36(1)(ए) िें उजललजखत "संक्रािक कुष्ठ रोग से पीज़ित" िब्दों को हटा ददया गया है।

अजधजनयि के एक पररजिष्ट के रूप िें प्रकाजित दकया गया था, और इन संजिजधयों का अंजति संिोधन जिजसल संख्या 39-4/2019-
सीयू-I दद 03.02.2021 के तहत दकया गया था।

Puducherry, the 17th February, 2021
F.No F.39-4/2019-CUI/dated 03.02.2021.—In exercise of the powers by Section 26 Clause (3) of
Pondicherry University Act of No.53 of 1985, the Executive Council, with the approval of the Visitor, hereby makes
the following amendments further to amend the Statutes of the Pondicherry University Act 1985 namely:
1. A person shall be disqualified for being chosen as and for being a member of any of the Authorities of
the University
(i) These Statutes may be called as the Pondicherry University (Amendment) Statutes 2021.
(ii) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Statutes of Pondicherry University, 1985, In Statute 36(1)(a):
(a) The words “suffers from contagious Leprosy” mentioned in Statute No.36 (1)(a) is removed.

Note:
1) A person shall be disqualified for being chosen as and for being a member of any of the Authorities of the
University:- (a) if he is of unsound mind or is a deaf-mute or suffers from contagious leprosy. The word
“suffers from contagious Leprosy” is removed.
2) Statutes of the Pondicherry University Act, 1985 were published along with the Pondicherry University Act,
1985 as a Schedule annexed to that Act and were last amended F.No. 39-4/2019-CU-I , dated 03.02.2021.
