NOTIFICATION
New Delhi the 16th November, 2018
S.O. 5758(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (d) of section 2 and section 3A of the
Livestock Importation Act, 1898 (9 of 1898), the Central Government hereby makes the following further
amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers
Welfare, Department of Animal Husbandry Dairying and Fisheries, published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide S.0. 2666(E), dated the 17th October, 2014,
namely:—
In the said notification,—
(1) In paragraph (1), for sub-paragraph (xvii), the following sub-paragraph shall be substituted,
namely:—
“(xvii) Medicaments (bovine albumin and drug of animal origin except vaccines and veterinary
biological under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940) and diagnostics (containing blood or serum
fractions for in vitro application)”;
(2) In the Schedule,-
(i) in paragraph (3), in sub-paragraph (viii), the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:—
"Provided that for the livestock products listed at serial numbers (xix), (xx) and (xxi) of paragraph 1,
except other of whole hides and skins, including sides of leather further prepared after tanning or
crusting, parchment-dressed leather, of bovine (including buffalo) or equine animals or of other
animals, without wool or hair on, whether or not split, other than leather of chamosis (including
combination chamois) leather, no objection certificate of the concerned Quarantine Officer will not
be required”;
(ii) In paragraph (4), after the second proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:—
"Provided also that livestock products listed at serial numbers (i) to (xiv) of paragraph 1 shall be
allowed to be imported into India through airport or land port, as the case may be, located at Raxaul¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(ii)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 3
(Bihar), Jogbani (Bihar) and Atari (Punjab) under the jurisdiction of Animal Quarantine and
Certification Stations in Kolkata and New Delhi, respectively:
Provided also that livestock products listed at serial numbers (viii) to (xxx) of paragraph 1 shall be
allowed to be imported into India through the airport or land port, as the case may be, located at Fulbari
(West Bengal) under the jurisdiction of Animal Quarantine and Certification Station in Kolkata:
Provided also that livestock products listed at serial numbers (i) to (xxx) of paragraph 1 shall be
allowed to be imported into India through the airport or land port, as the case may be, located at Moreh
(Manipur) under the jurisdiction of Animal Quarantine and Certification Stations in Kolkata:
Provided also that the import of aquatic products, eggs and seeds of all aquatic animals including fish,
crustaceans, molluscs, the import shall also be allowed through the airport or land port, as the case may be,
located at Moreh (Manipur) under the jurisdiction of Animal Quarantine and Certification Stations in
Kolkata.”.
