In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 read with section 24 of the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Act, 2005 24 of 2005, the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendment to the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Rules, 2005
This notification, G.S.R. 895(E), issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, amends the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Rules of 2005. The amendment, enacted under the authority of Section 3 read with Section 24 of the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Act, 2005, revises paragraph 7.0 of the "Guidelines for Regulating Coastal Aquaculture" within the Annexure of the 2005 Rules. Specifically, it substitutes subparagraph 7.1 to mandate that all shrimp hatcheries located in coastal areas, as defined in the Act, must be registered with the Coastal Aquaculture Authority. The notification is issued by Aditya Kumar Joshi, Joint Secretary, and bears the reference number F.No.33036/5/2005-Fy (T2). amendment to the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Rules, 2005, namely:-
In the Coastal Aquaculture Authority Rules, 2005, in the Annexure (Guidelines for Regulating
Coastal Aquaculture), in paragraph 7.0, for sub-paragraph 7.1, the following sub-paragraph shall be
substituted, namely:-
“7.1 All shrimp hatcheries in the coastal areas as defined in the Act need to be registered by the Coastal
Aquaculture Authority.”.
