अथार्त,
1. (1) इन िनयम(cid:7298) का संिक्ष(cid:7385) नाम गभर्धारण पूवर् और (cid:7079)सव पूवर् नैदािनक तकनीक (िलंग चयन िनषेध) संशोधन
िनयम, 2017 ह।ै
(2) ये राजप(cid:7074) मे (cid:7079)काशन की तारीख से (cid:7079)वृ(cid:7275) ह(cid:7298)गे।
2. गभर्धारण पूवर् तथा (cid:7079)सव पूवर् नैदािनक तकनीक (िलंग चयन िनषेध) िनयम, 1996 के िनयम 5 म(cid:7286) उप िनयम (1)
म(cid:7286), इस िनयम के बाद िनम् निलिखत परंतुक को जोड़ा जाएगा, नामत:-
‘‘परंतु आगे यह िक िकसी भी स् वास् थ् य तथा िचिकत् सा सेवा (cid:7079)दान कराने वाले सरकारी संस् थान को
पंजीकरण अथवा पंजीकरण के नवीनीकरण हते ु अपेिक्षत शुल् क का भुगतान करने की आवश् यकता नह(cid:7277) होगी।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 19th June, 2017
G.S.R. 599 (E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 32 of the Pre-conception and
Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 (57 of 1994), the Central
Government hereby makes the following further amendments to the Pre-conception and Pre-natal
Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Rules, 1996, namely :-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques
(Prohibition of Sex Selection) Amendment Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Rules,
1996, in rule 5, in sub rule (1), after the proviso, the following proviso shall be inserted, namely:-
“Provided further that no government institution which provides health and medical services
shall be required to pay fee for registration and renewal of registration”.
