AMENDMENT NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 5th Aguest, 2016
No.MCI-34(41)/2016-Med./123938.— In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 33 of the
Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Medical Council of India with the previous sanction of the
Central Government, hereby makes the following Regulations to further amend the “Regulations on Graduate
Medical Education, 1997”, namely: -
1. (i) These Regulations may be called the “Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 2016.
(ii) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In Clause 7(6) of the “Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997”, after sub clause 7(6A), the
following shall be added as under:-
(6AA) – The Universities and other authorities concerned for the Academic year 2016-17 only shall
organize admission process in accordance with the Time Schedule indicated in Appendix ‘F’.
3. In the “Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997”, after Appendix ‘E’, the following shall be
added:-
