NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 14th March, 2019
No. MCI-201/2019-Eligi./Gen./187276.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 33 of the Indian Medical
Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956), the Board of Governors in supersession of Medical Council of India with the previous
sanction of the Central Government hereby makes the following regulations to further amend the “Eligibility
Requirement for Taking Admission in an Undergraduate Medical Course in a Foreign Medical Institution Regulation,
2002” namely:-
1. (i) These regulations may be called the “Eligibility Requirement for Taking Admission in an
Undergraduate Medical Course in a Foreign Medical Institution (Amendment) Regulation, 2019.
(ii) They shall come into force from the date of publication in the official Gazette.
2. In regulation 8 under heading “Eligibility Criteria”, the following sentence shall be added in sub-clause(iv) after
the existing provision in the “Eligibility Requirement for Taking Admission in an Undergraduate Medical
Course in a Foreign Medical Institution Regulation, 2002”:-
Furthermore, the result of NEET shall be valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of declaration of
result, entitling a candidate to pursue MBBS or equivalent medical course including pre-medical/language
course, if any, followed by MBBS or equivalent medical course.
