(iv) खIड 4.10.2.1 (iv) के िलए, िन9िलिखत खंड (cid:23)ितAथािपत (cid:4)कया जाएगा, नामत:-
“ 4.10.2.1 (iv) मुKय लाइन वा(cid:6)व के साथ शाखा पाइप क% Aथापना से पूव दबाव
जांच क% जानी चािहए।”;
(v) खIड 6.12.1.5 (ii) के िलए, िन9िलिखत खंड (cid:23)ितAथािपत (cid:4)कया जाएगा, नामत:-
“6.12.1.5 (ii) आंतVरक दबाव क% समािवि5 हते ु पूण गोलाकार वेJ(cid:6)डग से AWलीट
AलीLस या Vरसाव Xल(cid:12)ै प लगाया जाना चािहए और इसका िडजाइन दबाव
अिधकतम अनुमेय (cid:23)चालन दबाव से कम नही होना चािहए। यह दोन+

PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS REGULATORY BOARD
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th December, 2017
F. No. INFRA/PNGRB/T4S/P&PPPL/04/2016.—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61
of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board Act, 2006 (19 of 2006), the Petroleum and Natural Gas
Regulatory Board hereby makes the following regulations to amend the Petroleum and Natural Gas
Regulatory Board (Technical Standards and Specifications including Safety Standards for Petroleum and
Petroleum Product Pipelines) Regulations, 2016, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.
(1) These regulations may be called the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Technical
Standards and Specifications including Safety Standards for Petroleum and Petroleum Product
Pipelines) Amendment Regulations, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (Technical Standards and Specifications including
Safety Standards for Petroleum and Petroleum Product Pipelines) Regulations, 2016, -
(i) Clause 3.5.7.4 shall be substituted, namely :-
“All stud, bolts and nuts used in petroleum and petroleum products pipelines should be as per
ASTM A 194 / A193.”;
(ii) Clause 3.7.1.2 shall be omitted;
(iii) Clause 4.10.1.2 shall be substituted, namely :-
“No welding (other than welds required for tie-in, installation of mainline valves, hot tapping
and appurtenances) and/or mechanical handling of pipelines is permitted after pressure
testing. The integrity of these welds shall meet the requirements as specified in API-1104.”;
(iv) Clause 4.10.2.1 (iv) shall be substituted, namely :-
“Mainline valves along with branch pipe should be pressure tested before installation.”;
(v) Clause 6.12.1.5 (ii) shall be substituted, namely :-
“By installing full encirclement welded split sleeves or leak clamps to contain internal
pressure and shall have a design pressure of not less than the maximum allowable operating
pressure. This shall be fully welded both circumferentially and longitudinally. These repairs
shall conform to the requirements as specified in ASME 31.4.”.;
(vi) Clause 7.9.3 shall be renumbered as Clause 7.9.2.1
(vii) Clause 7.9.4 shall be renumbered as Clause 7.9.2.2.
