New Delhi, the 13th November, 2020
S.O. 4123(E)—In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 7 read with Section 8 of the Pre-conception
and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994, the Central Government hereby makes
the following further amendment in the Notification No. S.O. 85 (E), dated 5th February, 1997, issued by Government
of India, in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, namely:
2. In the said notification, for serial numbers 19, 20, 21 and 22 and the entries relating thereto, the following
shall be substituted, namely: -
19 Principal Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Government of Delhi. Member
20 Dr. Vandana Dhume, State Appropriate Authority Government of Goa. Member
21 Principal Secretary (Health), Government of Puducherry. Member
22 Sh. Amit Kumar, Special Secretary (Health & Family Welfare), Government Member
of Punjab.
Term of office of the above members shall be for a period of one year commencing from the date of this
notification or till further orders, whichever is earlier.
