(क) उपिनयम (1) म,(cid:13)—
(i) खंड (ख) म,(cid:13) ‘‘और रिज(cid:22)A ीकरण क! आरंिभक अविध के अवसान से पूव/ बारह से अठारह महीने के भीतर

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th November, 2019
G.S.R. 863(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 96 of the Protection of Plant Varieties and
Farmers’ Rights Act, 2001 (53 of 2001), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the
Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Rules, 2003, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights (Amendment) Rules, 2019.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in Official Gazette.
2. In the Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers’ Rights Rules, 2003 (herein after referred to as the said rules),
in rule 39,-
(a) In sub-rule (1), —
(i) In clause (b), for the words “and filed during twelve to eighteen months”, the words “,be accompanied
with fee as prescribed in the Second Schedule and filed during the period of six months” shall be
substituted.
(ii) clause (c) shall be omitted.
(b) sub-rules (2) and (3) shall be omitted.

3. In the said rules, in the Second Schedule for serial number 9 and the entries relating thereto, the following shall
be substituted, namely:—
“9. Renewal Fee Individuals - Rs. 10,000/- PV-6”
Educational- Rs 20,000/-
Commercial -Rs 1,00,000/-
One lump sum
Farmers-Nil
