## Policy Summary: Companies Registration Offices and Fees Fifth Amendment Rules, 2018
This notification, G.S.R. 905(E), issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on September 20, 2018, introduces the Companies Registration Offices and Fees Fifth Amendment Rules, 2018. These rules, enacted under the authority of sections 396, 398, 399, 403, and 404 read with sub-sections 1 and 2 of section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013, amend the Companies Registration Offices and Fees Rules, 2014.
The amendment pertains to fees payable during the financial year 2018-2019. Specifically, a fee of Rupees five hundred (₹500) will be applicable from September 21, 2018, to October 5, 2018. Subsequently, a fee of Rupees five thousand (₹5,000) will be applicable on or after October 6, 2018.
The principal rules, which this notification amends, were initially published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Extra ordinary, Section 3, Subsection i, vide number G.S.R. 268(E), dated March 31, 2014, and have been subsequently amended by notifications G.S.R. 297(E) dated April 28, 2014, G.S.R. 122(E) dated February 24, 2015, G.S.R. 438(E) dated May 29, 2015, G.S.R. 493(E) dated June 6, 2016, G.S.R. 48(E) dated January 20, 2018, G.S.R. 435(E) dated May 7, 2018, G.S.R. 616(E) dated July 5, 2018 and G.S.R. 797(E) dated August 21, 2018.

(2) ये िनयम राजप0 म(cid:13) (cid:23)काशन क(cid:16) तारीख से (cid:23)वृ(cid:24) ह(cid:27)गे।
2. कंपनी (रिज!"ीकरण काया$लय और फ(cid:16)स) िनयम, 2014 म(cid:13), उपाबंध म(cid:13), 6म सं7या VII म(cid:13), ‘(cid:18)ट9पण’ के िलए िन(िलिखत
‘(cid:18)ट9पण’ रखा जाएगा, अथा$त् :-
“(cid:18)ट9पण : िव(cid:24)ीय वष$ (2018-2019) के दौरान 21.09.2018 से 05.10.2018 तक पांच सौ ;पय ेक(cid:16) फ(cid:16)स दये होगी और 06.10.2018
को या इसके बाद पांच हज़ार ;पये क(cid:16) फ(cid:16)स दये होगी”।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 20th September, 2018
G.S.R. 905(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 396, 398, 399, 403 and 404 read with sub-
sections (1) and (2) of section 469 of the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013), the Central Government hereby makes the
following rules further to amend the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Fifth Amendment Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Companies (Registration Offices and Fees) Rules, 2014, in the Annexure, in serial number VII, for the
‘note’ the following ‘note’ shall be substituted, namely:-
“Note: During the financial year (2018-2019), fee of rupees five hundred shall be payable from 21.09.2018 to 05.10.2018
and fee of rupees five thousand shall be payable on or after 06.10.2018”.
