2. वायुयान (दघु "टना$ और घटना$ का अ(cid:24)वेषण) िनयम, 2017 म*, –
(i) िनयम 5, उप-िनयम (1) म*, खंड (क) म* ‘‘या घटना’’ श?द(cid:17) का लोप @कया जाए;
(ii) िनयम 18 और 19 म* ‘’घटना’’ श?द जहां कहC आता ह,ै के Dथान पर ‘’सुर6ा’’ श?द रखा जाए;
(iii) िनयम 23 का लोप @कया जाए।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 28th March, 2018
G.S.R. 338 (E).─ In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 4 and 7 of the Aircraft Act, 1934 (22 of 1934), the
Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Aircraft (Investigation of Accidents and
Incidents) Rules, 2017, namely:-
1. (1) These rules may be called the Aircraft (Investigation of Accidents and Incidents) Amendment Rules,
2018.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Aircraft (Investigation of Accidents and Incidents) Rules, 2017,—
(A) in rule 5, in sub-rule (1), in clause (a), the words “or incident” shall be omitted;
(B) in rules 18 and 19, for the word “incident” wherever it occurs, the word “safety” shall be substituted;
(C) rule 23 shall be omitted.

Note.─ 1. The principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-
section (i), dated the 11th August, 2017 vide notification number G.S.R. 1011(E), dated the 7th August,

2. The Central Government in exercise of the powers conferred by proviso to Section 14 of the Aircraft
Act, 1934 (22 of 1934) has in the public interest dispensed with the condition of previous publication in
case of this notification vide its Order No. AV.11012/1/2018-A dated 23rd March, 2018 issued in
Ministry of Civil Aviation.
