This notification, S.O. 5383(E), issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare on October 10, 2018, formally establishes four new Central Integrated Pest Management Centres (CIPMCs). This action is taken in exercise of powers conferred by Sr. No. 5.1.62 and Annexure-VII of the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) during the 12th Five Year Plan under the National Mission on Agricultural Extension and Technology (NMAET), specifically the Scheme Sub-Mission on Plant Protection and Plant Quarantine (SMPPQ) and its sub-component, Strengthening and Modernization of Pest Management Approach (SMPMA). The newly established CIPMCs are located in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh; Nashik, Maharashtra; Jaipur, Rajasthan; and Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The notification was issued under F. No. 12026042014-PP.I and signed by Dr. B. Rajender, Jt. Secy. Plant Protection.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 10th October, 2018
S.O. 5383(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sr. No. 5.1.62 and Annexure-VII of
Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) during 12th Five Year Plan under the National Mission on Agricultural
Extension and Technology (NMAET), the Scheme Sub-Mission on Plant Protection and Plant Quarantine
(SMPPQ) and sub-component Strengthening and Modernization of Pest Management Approach (SMPMA),
establishment of four new CIPMCs was approved. CIPMCs has been performing activities as per the mandate
and objectives of (SMPMA). Accordingly, the Central Government has established following four new
CIPMCs namely:
i) Central Integrated Pest Management Centre,
Vijayawada- Andhra Pradesh.
ii) Central Integrated Pest Management Centre
Nashik- Maharashtra
iii) Central Integrated Pest Management Centre,
Jaipur - Rajasthan
iv) Central Integrated Pest Management Centre,
Agra- Uttar Pradesh
