NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 15th September, 2015
S.O. 2496(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 3 of the Destructive Insects
and Pests Act, 1914 (2 of 1914), the Central Government hereby makes the following Order further to amend the Plant
Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003, namely:-
1. Short title and Commencement.- (1) This Order may be called the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into
India) (Second Amendment) Order, 2015.
(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In Schedule I of Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003, under the heading “Airports”, after
serial number 16, and the entry relating thereto the following serial numbers and entries shall be added, namely :-
“17. Indore (Madhya Pradesh)
18. Goa ”.
3. In the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of import into India) Order, 2003 in Schedule II after serial number 64 and
the entries relating thereto the following serial number and entries shall be added in the respective columns:-
“65 Dhannad, Indore Madhya Pradesh Inland Container Depot Plant Quarantine Cell, Central Integrated Pest
Management Centre, Indore
66. Kheda, Dhar Madhya Pradesh Inland Container Depot Plant Quarantine Cell, Central Integrated Pest
Management Centre, Indore
67. Pitampir, Dhar Madhya Pradesh Inland Container Depot Plant Quarantine Cell, Central Integrated Pest

4. Amendment of Schedule VI.- In the Schedule VI to the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India)
Order, 2003,-
(i) Against serial number 7 relating to Actinidia chinensis and A. Deliciosa (Kiwi) in column (3) against the entries
regarding ‘Fruits for consumption’, after serial no. (vi) in column (4) the following entries shall be inserted, namely:-¹Hkkx IIµ[k.M 3(ii)º Hkkjr dk jkti=k % vlk/kj.k 5

(b) Botryosphaeria dothidea (canker of almond)
transit refrigeration or
(c) Ceratitis capitata (Mediterranean fruit fly)
Methyl Bromide fumigation @ 32 g/m3
(d) Lobesia botrana (grape berry moth)
for 31/2 hrs at 210C or equivalent thereof
(e) Phytophthora cryptogea (tomato foot rot)
The treatment should be endorsed on
(f) Pseudomonas viridiflava (bacterial leaf blight of
Phytosanitary Certificate issued at the
tomato(USA))
country of origin/ re-export.”
(ii) Against serial number 251 relating to Phoenix dactylifera (Date Palm) in column (3) the existing entries
relating to (i) shall be substituted by the following, namely:-

(iii) Against serial number 431, relating to Vaccinium corymbosum (Blueberry) in column (3) against entry ‘Fresh
fruits for consumption, after item (i) and entries relating thereto in columns (4),(5) and (6), the following item and
entries relating thereto shall respectively be inserted, namely:

2 hrs at 210C or above under NAP; or methyl
d) Pseudomonas viridiflava (Bacterial leaf
bromide fumigation @ 32 g/m3 for 31/2 hrs at
blight of tomato(USA)
150C or above under NAP; or equivalent thereof
against Queensland fruit fly or
(iii) Pre shipment cold treatment at 0oC or below
for 13 days or greater; 0.55oC or below for 14
days or greater; 1.1oC or below for 18 days or
greater followed by in-transit refrigeration or
In-transit cold treatment at 0oC or below for
13 days or greater; 0.55oC or below for 14 days
or greater; 1.1oC or below for 18 days or greater
against Queensland fruit fly.
The treatment should be endorsed on
Phytosanitary Certificate issued at the country of
origin/ re-export.”
