In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections 11b and 151 c of the Kalakshetra Foundation Act, 1993, the Central Government hereby makes the following nominations to the Governing Board of the Kalakshetra Foundation and the Academic Committee
This notification, S.O. 3094(E), issued by the Ministry of Culture on November 9, 2015, announces nominations to the Governing Board and Academic Committee of the Kalakshetra Foundation, exercising powers conferred by subsections 11(b) and 15(1)(c) of the Kalakshetra Foundation Act, 1993.
The following individuals are nominated to the Governing Board under Section 11(b): Shri Lalgudi G.D.R. Krishnan, Shri Vijaya Shiva, Shri Anooru Anantkrishnan Sharma, Smt. Shaswati Sen, Smt. Ranjana Gouhar, Dr. Smt. Urmila Sathyanaraynan, Smt. S. Saumya, Smt. Malvika Avinash, Dr. Shri Kantam Nagendra Shastri, and Shri Gangai Amaren.
The following individuals are nominated to the Academic Committee under subsection 15(1)(c): Padmabhushan Smt. Saroja Vaidyanathan, Padmashree Smt. Chitra Vishweshwaran, and Smt. Leela Venkatraman.
The terms of the members of the Governing Board and the Academic Committee are governed by section 12 and subsection 15(2) respectively of the Kalakshetra Foundation Act, 1993. This notification supersedes all earlier orders regarding nominations to the Governing Board and the Academic Committee of the Kalakshetra Foundation and is issued in the public interest.
