NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 19th, November, 2018
G.S.R. 1134(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution
and in supersession of the Department of Culture, National Archives of India, New Delhi (Deputy Director
of Archives) Group ‘A’ Recruitment Rules, 2000 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before
such supersession, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating the method of recruitment to the
post of Deputy Director of Archives in the National Archives of India, New Delhi, namely:-
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Culture, National Archives
of India ( Deputy Director of Archives) Group ‘A’ Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2018.
(2) They shall be deemed to come into force on the 8th day of February, 2002.
2. In the schedule to the Department of Culture, National Archives of India, New Delhi (Deputy Director of
Archives) Group ‘A’ Recruitment Rules, 2000, entries against serial number 5 shall be substituted with the
following:-
Selection
Explanatory memorandum: Giving retrospective effect to the amendment will not prejudicially affect the
interests of any person.
