NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th November, 2017
G.S.R. 1426(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by the sub-section (1) of section 19 read with sub-section
(5) of section 7 of the Coconut Development Board Act, 1979 (5 of 1979), the Central Government hereby makes the
following rules further to amend the Coconut Development Board (Chief Coconut Development Officer and Secretary)
Recruitment Rules, 1981, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Coconut Development Board (Chief Coconut Development Officer and
Secretary) Recruitment Amendment Rules, 2017.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Coconut Development Board (Chief Coconut Development Officer and Secretary) Recruitment Rules,
1981 against serial no. 2 relating to the post of Secretary, in the Schedule, in column (13), for the entries, the following
entries shall be substituted, namely:—
“Selection Committee consisting of :-
1. Special Secretary or Additional Secretary (In-charge of Horticulture Division),
Government of India, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation
and Farmers Welfare - Chairman.
2. Joint Secretary (Administration),
Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare - Member.
3. Joint Secretary In-charge of MIDH (Horticulture),
Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare - Member.
4. Horticulture Commissioner,
Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare - Member.
5. Chairman, Coconut Development Board - Member”.
