In pursuance of clause 20 B of the Fertiliser Control Order, 1985, the Central Government hereby notifies the specifications of the following customised fertilizers for a period of four years
This notification, S.O. 1466(E), issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers Welfare, specifies the standards for a new customised fertilizer. Effective from April 21, 2016, and valid for four years from the date of publication, this order, in pursuance of clause 20 B of the Fertiliser Control Order, 1985, defines the specifications for a customised fertilizer with the following composition: N:P2O5:K2O:S:Zn :: 15:7:10:4:1.
The fertilizer must meet the following requirements:
1. Moisture per cent. by weight, maximum 1.5
2. Total Nitrogen per cent.by weight, minimum 15.0
3. Ammoniacal Nitrogen per cent. by weight, minimum 2.5
4. Urea Nitrogen per cent. by weight, minimum 12.5
5. Neutral Ammonium Citrate Soluble Phosphate (P2O5) per cent. by weight, minimum 7.0
6. Water soluble Phosphate as (P2O5) per cent. by weight, minimum 6.0
7. Water soluble potash as (K2O) per cent. by weight, minimum 10.0
8. Sulphur as (S) per cent. by weight, minimum 4.0
9. Zinc as (Zn) per cent by weight, minimum 1.0
This fertilizer is intended for basal application in rice crops in the Hooghly district of West Bengal.
