Dhanbad, the 14th January, 2019
G.S.R. 50(E).—In pursuance of the provisions of Regulation 12 (4) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017,
following changes are being made in the Bye-laws for conduct of examination and grant of surveyor’s certificate of
competency so far as they relate to clause 1.1.2, clause 1.1.4, clause - 2.1 and clause 2.2 of the said Bye-laws:—
1.1.2 Surveyor’s Certificate - Examination:
Qualification Period, Nature & details of Practical experience.
Senior Secondary School Examination or Intermediate Not less than two years of practical experience in
examination or its equivalent from a recognized Board or surveying in a coal mine having belowground workings in
University or Diploma or Degree in any subject other than a capacity after possession of the requisite academic
Mining and Civil Engineering or other equivalent qualification.

of one written paper of two and half hours duration and an oral test; so however that, in case of a candidate does not
secure qualifying marks in written paper he / she shall not be eligible for oral test.
