Dhanbad, the 22nd January, 2016
G. S.R. 136(E).— In pursuance of the provisions of Regulation 13(4) of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1961 the
bye-Iaws for the conduct of examination and grant of Mining Mate's Certificates of Competency as notified in No,
Board/MM/20000/63 dated 24th June 1963, (Extraordinary, Part-III, Section 4 dated July 11, 1963), so far as they relate to (b)
of Para-1:- Type and extent of practical experience etc. is being substituted by the following :—
Para 1 (b) of Type and extent of practical experience :—
(b) The practical experience and training of a candidate for the grant or Mining Mate's Certificate restricted for mines
having open cast workings only shall include experience/training in blasting for at least 12 months
(two months in case of a candidate who has received a diploma or certificate in Scientific and Mining training after a
course or at least two years at an educational institution approved in that behalf by the Central Government or who
has taken. a degree in Scientific and Mining subjects at a University approved in this behalf by the Central Government).
Provided that for the candidate for the grant of Mining Mate's Certificate restricted for mines having open cast
workings without blasting, his practical experience and training in blasting shall not be mandatory.
