उपधारा (2) द्वारा प्रदत्त िजियों का प्रयोग करत े हुए, काययकारी पररषद, कुलाध्यक्ष के अनुिोदन स,े जिज़ोरि
जिश्वजिद्यालय संजिजध, 2000 को और संिोजधत करन े के जलए जनम्नजलजखत संिोधन करती ह,ै अथायत:-
1. (1) इन पररजनयिों को जिज़ोरि जिश्वजिद्यालय (संिोधन) पररजनयि, 2025 कहा िा सकेगा।
(2) ये 9 िनिरी, 2025 से लाग ूहोंगे।
2. जिज़ोरि जिश्वजिद्यालय संजिजध िें, संजिजध 11(1)(ए) और संजिजध 11(1)(बी) ि,ें जनम्नजलजखत को प्रजतस्ट्थाजपत ककया
िाएगा, अथायत:्-
“11 (1) (ए): काययकारी पररषद िें जनम्नजलजखत सदस्ट्य िाजिल होंगे, अथायत्:
(i) कुलपजत, पदेन।
(ii) प्रजतकुलपजत, यकद कोई हो, पदेन।

(iii) िररष्ठता के अनुसार चक्रानुक्रि से चार संकाय के संकायाध्यक्ष, जिन्ह ें कुलपजत द्वारा नाजित ककया
िाएगा।
(iv) संकायाध्यक्ष के अलािा एक आचायय, िररष्ठता के अनुसार चक्रानुक्रि से, जिसे कुलपजत द्वारा नाजित
ककया िाएगा।
(v) िररष्ठता के अनुसार, चक्रानुक्रि से एक रीडर, जिसे कुलपजत द्वारा नाजित ककया िाएगा।
(vi) जिश्वजिद्यालय द्वारा संचाजलत िहाजिद्यालयों के प्राचायय।
(vii) जिज़ोरि राज्य के िहाजिद्यालयों से एक प्राचायय, संबंजधत िहाजिद्यालयों की स्ट्थापना की जतजथ के
संदभय िें जनधायररत की िान े िाली िररष्ठता के अनुसार, कुलपजत द्वारा नाजित ककया िाएगा।
(viii) जिज़ोरि सरकार का एक अजधकारी िो सजचि के पद से नीचे का न हो, जिसे राज्य सरकार द्वारा
नाजित ककया िाएगा।
(ix) न्यायालय के दो सदस्ट्य, जिन्ह ेंकुलाध्यक्ष द्वारा नाजित ककया िाएगा, जिनिें से कोई भी जिश्वजिद्यालय
या जिश्वजिद्यालय से संब्ध या िान्यता प्रा्त िहाजिद्यालय या संस्ट्थान का कियचारी नह होगा।
(x) कुलाध्यक्ष द्वारा नाजित चार व्यजि।
(xi) जिक्षा िंत्रालय का प्रजतजनजध: सजचि (उच्च जिक्षा), जिक्षा ित्रं ालय, भारत सरकार या उसका/उसकी
नाजिती।
11 (1)(बी): काययकारी पररषद के सभी सदस्ट्य, पदेन सदस्ट्यों और जिक्षा िंत्रालय के प्रजतजनजधयों के अलािा, तीन िषय की
अिजध के जलए पद धारण करेंग।े ”

NOTIFICATION
Aizawl, the 20th May, 2025
AMENDMENT OF STATUTE OF MIZORAM UNIVERSITY
F. No. 13-24/Estt.I/18.—In the exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 27 of the
Mizoram University Act, 2000 (No. 8 of 2000), the Executive Council, with the approval of the Visitor, hereby makes
the following amendment further to amend the Mizoram University Statutes, 2000, namely :-
1. (1) These Statutes may be called as the Mizoram University (Amendment) Statutes, 2025.
(2) They shall come into force with effect from 9th January, 2025.
2. In the Mizoram University Statutes, in Statute 11(1) (A) and Statute 11 (1) (B), the following shall be
substituted, namely :-
“11 (1) (A): The Executive Council shall consist of the following members, namely:
(i) Vice-Chancellor, ex-officio.
(ii) Pro-Vice-Chancellor, if any, ex-officio.
(iii) Four Deans of Schools by rotation according to seniority, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor.
(iv) One Professor, other than a Dean, by rotation according to seniority, to be nominated by the Vice-
Chancellor.
(v) One Reader by rotation, according to seniority, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor

(vii) One Principal from the Colleges in the State of Mizoram by rotation, according to seniority to be
determined with reference to the date of establishment of the Colleges concerned, to be nominated
by the Vice-Chancellor.
(viii) An Officer of the Government of Mizoram not below the rank of Secretary, to be nominated by the
State Government.
(ix) Two members of the Court, to be nominated by the Visitor, none of whom shall be an employee of
the University or a College or an Institution affiliated to or recognized by the University.
(x) Four persons to be nominated by the Visitor.
(xi) Representative of Ministry of Education: The Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education,
Government of India or his/her nominee.
11 (1) (B): All members of the Executive Council, other than ex-officio members & Representative of Ministry
of Education, shall hold office for a term of three years.”
