This year's cultural showcase was curated to represent the entire expanse of India - from the deserts of Rajasthan and the coastal traditions of Karnataka to the vibrant Northeast and India's devotional music traditions - reflecting the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. Rajasthan's Timeless Desert Music: Colours of the Manganiyars Presented by Samandar Khan, Colours of the Manganiyars brought alive the royal soundscape of Rajasthan's desert communities. The segment revisited legendary melodies that have shaped Indian cinema, including Kesariya Balam, Gorband, Halariya, Nimbuda, Ghoomar, Boli Pyari Lage, Sartaj Qalandar Ali Ali, and the folk melody behind Saranga. Evoking the grandeur of Rajwada palaces and traditional concerts, this performance highlighted the enduring influence of Rajasthani folk traditions on film music. Acyuta Gopi Headlined the Grand Finale Grammy-nominated devotional and kirtan artist Acyuta Gopi headlined the Closing Ceremony with a specially curated spiritual music act. Revered globally for her transformative performances, she also collaborated with select winners of last year's Create India Challenge, as part of the WAVES OTT showcase, blending rising Indian talent with international acclaim. Her performance was among the most anticipated cultural events of the evening. The ceremony opened with the inspirational performance of Miracle on Wheels, India's pioneering inclusive dance ensemble known for redefining artistic possibility through differently-abled performers. Karnataka's Classical Grandeur: Yakshagana by Vidya Kolyur The celebrated Yakshagana artist Vidya Kolyur presented a dramatic sequence of divine entries through the eight-minute Oddolaga. The performance included heroic portrayals of Agni, Varuna, Vayu, and Kubera, followed by the grand appearance of Yama, the royal arrival of Devendra, and the graceful entry of Rambha and Urvashi. The act concluded with a vibrant ensemble dance capturing the visual splendour, powerful energy, and mythological depth of Karnataka's traditional theatre-one of the highlight cultural events of the evening. Northeast India on the Global Stage: A Two-Part Showcase Curated by Ranjit Gogoi, the Northeast Ensemble brought all eight Northeastern states together - one of the strongest representations yet at the IFFI stage. Segment 1: Bollywood Music and Rhythms from the NortheastA high-energy dance presentation on iconic works of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, S.D. Burman, R.D. Burman, Zubeen Garg, and Papon, highlighting the Northeast's foundational contribution to India's cinematic soundscape. Segment 2: Traditional Folk Showcase from the Eight States Arunachal Pradesh - Nyapa Cham & Zya Cham Assam - Bihu Mizoram - Cheraw (Bamboo Dance) Meghalaya - Wangala Manipur - Pung Cholom Tripura - Sangrain Nagaland - Warrior Dance Sikkim - Singhi Chaam This segment captured the region's music and rhythm, colour, and cultural distinctiveness, reinforcing India's unity through artistic diversity. The ensemble stood out as one of the major folk events of the Closing Ceremony. A National Cultural Canvas for a Global Audience With artists from Rajasthan, Karnataka, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Tripura, Sikkim, Manipur, Nagaland, and Meghalaya, the Closing Ceremony stood as a comprehensive national showcase at one of the world's prominent film platforms. The performances were broadcast live on WAVES OTT and made available as VOD, enabling audiences across India and worldwide to experience the cultural finale.
