India Tourism, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India,
in collaboration with the Karnataka Tourism Society organized a Buyer–Seller (B2B) Tourism
Meet to promote domestic tourism on 29 January 2026 at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The B2B meet provided a valuable platform for tourism stakeholders from Karnataka and
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to engage in detailed and meaningful discussions on tourism
opportunities. Deliberations focused on various tourism destinations of Karnataka, as well as the
renowned World Heritage Sites and other significant historical and cultural attractions of
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The programme received valuable support and guidance from Mr. Mohammed Farouk,
Regional Director, India Tourism, Mumbai (Central & Western Region), and Mrs. Malti
Dutta, Assistant Director, India Tourism, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The event
commenced with the mass singing of “Vande Mataram”. Addressing the gathering, Mr.
Mohammed Farouk stated that such initiatives play a crucial role in strengthening domestic
tourism by fostering enthusiasm, cooperation, and collaboration among tourism stakeholders.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Roshan Pinto, Chairman – Destination Promotion & FAM
Tour Committee, Karnataka Tourism Society, emphasized that programmes of this nature
create a conducive environment for mutual promotion of tourism destinations across states and
contribute significantly to the growth of domestic tourism.The event witnessed participation from 35 tourism stakeholders from Karnataka, along with
representatives from the Aurangabad Tourism Development Foundation (ATDF), Travel
Agent Association of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (TAACH), and the Federation of Hotel
& Restaurant Associations of India (FHRAI) from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
The Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, continues to make sustained efforts to promote
domestic tourism, and this B2B Tourism Meet is expected to play a significant role in
strengthening tourism linkages between Karnataka and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, a tourism-rich city renowned for its World Heritage Sites and
numerous historical monuments, is expected to gain enhanced visibility in Karnataka through
this initiative. Similarly, Karnataka’s tourism destinations will be promoted among stakeholders
