NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 3 read with section 9, 349 351 and 355(B) of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the ‘Grama Panchayat Area’ of Kagawada of Athani Taluk, Belagavi District proposed to be declared as Transitional area of Kagawada of Athani Taluk, Belagavi District mentioned in the Schedule “A” along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule “B” is hereby proposed to be declared as the “Transitional Area” of Kagawada and “Town Panchayat Area” of Kagawada of Athani Taluk, Belagavi District with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official Gazette by His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka having regard to: i. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than Twenty thousand; 13,936 ii. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred inhabitants to one square kilometer of area; 496 iii. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total employment; 50% The Notification is hereby published for the information of the Public.
