The Ministry of Culture's Kala Sanskriti Vikas Yojana (KSVY) is an umbrella scheme comprised of eight components that provides financial assistance to eligible cultural organizations and individuals working in the performing arts across India, including Odisha. Over the past five financial years (2020-21 to 2024-25), KSVY has disbursed ₹122.40 Cr, ₹156.46 Cr, ₹213.76 Cr, ₹218.36 Cr and ₹201.67 Cr respectively.
The scheme allocates funds across eight components: (1) Financial Assistance for Promotion of Guru Shishya Parampara (₹7285 lakh), (2) Repertory Grant (₹7177 lakh), (3) Financial Assistance for Promotion of Art & Culture (₹1646 lakh), (4) Scheme of Scholarship and Fellowship for Promotion of Art and Culture (₹2603 lakh), (5) Financial Assistance for Veteran Artists (₹150 lakh), (6) Financial Assistance for Construction of Tagore Cultural Complexes (₹693 lakh), (7) National Gandhi Heritage Site Mission (₹139 lakh), and (8) National Award Scheme (₹160 lakh), totaling ₹19853 lakh.
In Odisha, KSVY has supported beneficiaries through various sub-schemes. A total of ₹93.81Cr. has been released to 1735 voluntary organizations under the scheme of Financial Assistance for the Development of Buddhist Tibetan Culture Art, a subcomponent under KSVY during the current cycle of KSVY i.e. F.Y. 2021-22 to 2025-26. The distribution of funds and the number of beneficiaries in Odisha for each of the last five years (2020-21 to 2024-25) are detailed in the annexure.

Kala Sanskriti Vikas Yojana (KSVY) is an umbrella Scheme consisting Eight scheme components under
which financial assistance is provided to eligible cultural organizations / individuals working in the field of
performing arts across the country including the state of Odisha. The total amount disbursed under
KSVYover the last five financial years is as under:
