NOTIFICATION Whereas the Draft Rules further to amend the Karnataka Municipal Corporations (Election) Rules 1979 to be called the Karnataka Municipal Corporations (Election) (Amendment) Rules 2020 was published as conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 421 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act 1976 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1977 and Karnataka Act 32 of 2012) in Notification No. UDD 204 MLR 2020, dated 13/01/2021 in Part – IV A of the Karnataka Gazette extraordinary dated 13/01/2021 inviting objections and suggestion from all the persons likely to be affected within 7 days from the date of publication in the official Gazette. And whereas the said Gazette was made available to the public on 13th January 2021. And whereas objections and suggestions were received within the stipulated period were examined. Now therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 421 of the Karnataka Municipal Corporation Act 1976 (Karnataka Act 14 of 1977 and Karnataka Actc32 of 2012), the Government of Karnataka hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Karnataka Municipal Corporations (Election) Rules, 1979, namely:- RULES 1. Title and Commencement:(1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Municipalities Corporations(Election) (Amendment) Rules 2020. (2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official Gazette. 2. Amendment of Rule 73A.- in the Karnataka Municipalities Corporations (Election) Rules, 1979 in rule 73A, in sub rule (1) for the Table, the following shall be substituted. Namely:- (1)R.N.I.
