NOTIFICATION Whereas the Notification to declare the Grama Panchayat Area of Hanumasagara of Koppal District as a Transitional Area and further to specify such Areas as the Town Panchayat of Hanumasagara as mentioned in Schedule-A along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule-B was published as required by section-3 read with section-4, 9, 349 and 355 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, vide Government Notification No:UDD 135 MLR 2022; dated 25/07/2025 by providing thirty days time and was published in part-III, No.415, Karnataka Gazette Extraordinary, dated 25/07/2025 inviting objections from all persons likely to be affected thereby on or before thirty days from the date of publication of the above Notification. And whereas the Notification was made available to the public on the day of publication; And whereas no objection/suggestion has been received within the stipulated period; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section-3, 4, 9, 349 and 355 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, the Hon’ble Governor, hereby declare the Grama Panchayat Area of Hanumasagara, Koppal District as mentioned in Schedule–A, along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule–B, as the “Transitional Area” and further specify such area to be the “Town Panchayat Area of Hanumasagara” having regard to: 1. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than twenty thousand; 2. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred inhabitants to one square kilometer of area; 3. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total employment.
