S.O. 3649(E).—Central Government has notified Appropriate Authority for UTs vide Notification
No. F. No. U.11019/09/2022-HR dated 4th May, 2022 published in Gazette of India under SO no. 2073 (E)
dated 4th May, 2022. Now Central Government in accordance with Section 35 (3) (a) (iii) & (v) of the
Surrogacy (Regulation) Act, 2021 and Section 12 (3) (a) (iii) & (v) of the Assisted Reproductive
Technology (Regulation) Act, 2021 includes the following as Members in respective categories in the
Appropriate Authority for the UT of Chandigarh:
(i) Dr. Ramneek Sharma, Gynecologist, Survival of Young & Adolescent (SURYA) Foundation,
Chandigarh, as Member in the category of eminent Woman representing women's
organization; and
(ii) Dr. Vanita Suri, HOD Obs & Gynae, PGIMER, Chandigarh, as Member in the category of
eminent registered medical practitioner.
