From the Director of Public Libraries letter Rc.No.269- A3/2010, Dated:27.6.2011. ORDER: NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) and clause (f) of sub-section (2) of section 25 of the Andhra Pradesh Public Libraries Act, 1960, (Andhra Pradesh Act VIII of 1960), the Governor of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following amendments to the rules for the posts of Librarians under the Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas issued in G.O.Ms.No.674, Edn., dated 21.3.1967 and as subsequently amended from time to time. AMENDMENTS In rule 3A of the said rules- (i) In the table , in the column (2) ‘Unit of Appointment’ against Category (3) Librarian Grade-II, for the existing entry, the following shall be substituted namely:- Zone –I: All Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. Zone-II: All Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas in East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts. Zone-III: All Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas in Guntur, Prakasam and SPSR Nellore districts. Zone-IV: All Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas in Chittoor, YSR kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool districts. Zone-V: All Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas in Adilabad, Karimnagar,Warangal and Khammam districts. Zone –VI: All Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas in Ranga Reddy, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Medak, Nalgonda districts and Hyderabad City Grandhalaya Samstha.(ii) for the existing Note, the following shall be substituted namely- “Note: The transfer of a person from one local cadre to another local cadre, on reciprocal basis, shall b e made in respect of Gr.III Librarians, subject to the condition that the person so transferred shall be assigned seniority in the later cadre with reference to the date of his transfer to that cadre. The Director of Public Libraries shall be the transferring and appointing authority for the posts of Librarians Gr.I and Grade.II from Zone to Zone. The transfer of Librarians Grade.III shall be made by the appointing authority with the prior approval of the Director of Public Libraries. The Director of Public Libraries shall ensure strict observance of the Zonal dispensation in all further appointments/promotions in the cadre of Librarian Grade-II as per the provisions of Presidential order.
