N O T I F I C A T I O N Whereas, it has been brought to the notice of the Government of Andhra Pradesh that the ancient Mathams known as Pancha Mathams, 1. Ghanta Matham 2. Bheema Shankara Matham 3. Vibhuti Matham 4. Rudraksha Matham 5. Sarangadara Matham in Srisailam Village and Mandal, Kurnool District, as described in the Schedule hereunder are to be of Archaeological and Historical importance. 2. And whereas, the Government of Andhra Pradesh are of the opinion that the said ancient Mathams requires protection under the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (Andhra Pradesh Act VII of 1960) and proposes to declare them to be a protected monuments. 3. Now therefore, notice is hereby given as required under sub–section (1) of section 4 of the Andhra Pradesh Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960 (A.P. Act VII of 1960) that the aforesaid proposal will be taken into consideration by the Government after the expiry of a period of two months from the date of publication of this notification in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette. Any objections or suggestions which may be received within the aforesaid period will be considered by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
