Energy (Ser) Department, U.O.No. 8263/Ser./2010, dt. 10.02.2012. **** ORDER: The Energy Department has stated that, the Chairman & Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL) has sent proposals for creation of twelve (12) posts viz., Circle Inspector of Police-1, Sub-Inspector of Police-2, Head Constables-3 and Police Constables-6 in Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL) for the Anti Power Theft Squad (APTS) Police Station for Ranga Reddy (East) Operation Circle 2. The Chairman & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited has stated that the Government vide G.O.Ms.No.258 Finance (SMPC) Department dated 20.07.2010 have accorded sanction for creation of 108 additional posts in various categories in Central Power Distribution Company of A.P. Limited (APCPDCL) for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation jurisdiction of CPDCL. By utilizing the newly sanctioned posts, in addition to formation of certain new offices across the jurisdiction of APCPDCL for better supervision and monitoring of O & M works, a new Operation Circle Ranga Reddy (East) was formed vide C.O.O.Ms.No.346 dt. 25.09.2010. The newly formed Operation Circle Rangareddy (East) with the jurisdiction of Saroornagar, Habsiguda and Sainikpuri Operation Divisions falls in the city limits that needs constant vigilance to avoid pilferage. One APTS Police Station is existing in each Operation Circle and therefore it is necessary to create a new APTS Police Station with co-terminus jurisdiction of the newly formed Rangareddy(East) Operation Circle for detection, investigation of pilferage of energy cases and for compounding of offences under Electricity Act 2003. The Chairman & Managing Director, Andhra Pradesh Central Power Distribution Company Limited (APCPDCL) has requested for sanction of the 12 posts viz., Circle Inspector-1, Sub-Inspector-2, Head Constable – 3 and Police constable-6 for newly proposed APTS Police Station in Rangareddy (East) Operation Circle. 4.
