MINES & MINERALS - Prospecting Licence for Barytes over an extent of 4.43 Acres in
Sy.No. 319 of U.Rajupalem Village, V.N.Palli Mandal, Y.S.R.District, in favour of
Sri B.Viswanatha Reddy, for a period of 2 years - Sanction - Orders - Issued.

O R D E R:-
In the reference 1st read above, Sri B.Viswanatha Reddy has applied for grant of
Prospecting Licence for Barytes over an extent of 4.43 Acres in Sy.No. 319 of
U.Rajupalem Village, V.N.Palli Mandal, Y.S.R.District, for a period of 2 years.
2. In the reference 2nd read above, the Director of Mines and Geology has submitted
proposals to the Government and stated that the Asst. Director of Mines and Geology
Yerraguntla, Kadapa District informed that the Surveyor has surveyed the area on
01.12.2010. As per the survey report the applied area arrived to over on extent of
4.43 Acres in Sy.No.319 of U.Rajupalem Village, V.N.Palli Mandal, Y.S.R. District. Further,
the present application is not overlapping with any other applications and leased areas
and it is free for grant of Prospecting Licence. As per the inspection report, Geologically
the applied area falls in Vempalli Formation of Papaghani Group. As seen from the
workings of adjacent mine it is noticed that the Barytes available in the area is originated
by Hydrothermal activity and it is in the form of fissure veins, these are striking E-W and
dripping towards South and these are having limited strike length i.e., 100-200 mts by
origin itself. The Barytes available in the area is both white and buff in colour. As per
the enquiry made with the villagers it came to know that the width of vein in this area
may be 2-12 mts and vein will encounter at 20 mts depth from surface and the depth of
the vein may be 20-25 mts.
3. The Director of Mines and Geology has also stated that, the District Collector
Kadapa through Ref.(E1) 2738/2010, dated 18.8.2010, reported that Survey No.319,
extent of 4.43 Acres is classified as “Patta Land” registered in the name of
Smt. V.Lakshmi, W/o Sri V.Uma Maheswar and located at a distance of about 2Kms to
the residential area and there is no objection for grant of Mining Lease for Barytes in
Sy.No.319 over an extent of 4.43 acres in favour of Sri.V.Umamaheswar. The same NOC
is holds good for this application also, since the area is one and same. The pattadars has
given consent for the present applicant.
4. Accordingly, the Director of Mines and Geology has requested the Government for
consideration of the application for grant of Prospecting License for Barytes over an
extent of 4.43 acres in S.No.319 of U.Rajupalem Village, V.N.Palli Mandal, Y.S.R. District
for a period two years in favour of Sri B.Viswanatha Reddy, while rejecting prior
ML application of Sri V.Uma Maheswar, treating it as withdrawn.
5. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby grant a Prospecting
Licence for Barytes over an extent of 4.43 Acres in Sy.No. 319 of U.Rajupalem Village,
V.N.Palli Mandal, Y.S.R.District, in favour of Sri.B.Viswanatha Reddy, for a period of

2 years, subject to satisfaction of Mines and Minerals (D&R) Act, 1957 and Mineral
Concession Rules, 1960 and amendments issued thereon from time to time and
subject to other applicable Acts & Rules and orders in force and also subject to the
conditions in Form-F prescribed under the Mineral Concession Rules, 1960 and to the
additional conditions specified in the appendix to this order.
6. The prior application of Sri V.Uma Maheswar dated 27.05.2009 was already
rejected vide Govt.Memo.No.12037/M.III(1)/2012-1, dt.17.02.2012.
7. The rate of prospecting fee will be Rs.5/- (Rupees five only) per hectare of the
land covered by the Licence for each year or portion of a year or as revised by the
Government from time to time.
8. The grantee should deposit as security a sum of Rs.2,500/- per every square
kilometer and part thereof as prescribed in Rule 20 of the Mineral Concession Rules,
1960 before the Licence deed is actually executed.
9. The terms and conditions referred to in paras 5-8 of this order are subject to such
further modifications, additions and alterations as may be ordered before the Licence
deed is executed.
10. The grantee should execute the Licence deed within the time limit specified in
Rule 15 of Mineral Concession Rules, 1960.
11. The Director of Mines and Geology shall take necessary further action for the
execution of the Licence deed after satisfying himself that the grantee fulfils all the
required provisions of the amended Act and Rules. As soon as the Licence deed is
executed, the date of such execution should be reported to the Government.
Note:- The grant is liable for cancellation, should it be found at later date that
it was grossly inequitable or was made under a mistake of fact or owing to
misrepresentation or fraud or in excess of authority
