O R D E R:
In the Government Order 1st read above, orders were issued
consolidating the pension of pre-2006 pensioners and family pensioners of
University/Government and Aided College teachers retired between
01-01-1996 to 31-12-2005 as per the Government of India guidelines
with effect from 01-01-2006 and also sanctioning Central Dearness Relief
on the consolidated pension for the period from 01-01-2006 to
01-01-2011 upto 51%.
2. In the Government Order 2nd read above, orders were issued
revising the rates of Dearness Relief to State Government pensioners
including UGC Pensioners retired while drawing their pay in the UGC Pay
Scales, 1996 and 2006, but not included the pensioners whose
pension/family pension consolidated as per the orders issued in
G.O.Ms.No.54, Higher Education (UE.II) Department, dated 08-06-2011.
3. In the reference 3rd read above, the General Secretary Retired
College Teachers Association has requested to revise the rate of Dearness
Relief from 51% to 58% to the Pensioners/Family pensioners, whose
pension was revised/consolidated with effect from 1.1.2006 vide
G.O.Ms.No.54, Higher Education (UE.II) Department, dated 8.6.2011 as
the said category was not included for sanction of revised dearness Relief in
the G.O.2nd read above.2
4. Government, after careful consideration of the matter, hereby
revise the rate of Dearness Relief from 51% to 58% with effect from
01-07-2011 to the pensioners/family pensioners whose pension was
consolidated as per orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.54, Higher Education
(UE.II) Department, dated 8.6.2011.
5. Accordingly the following amendment is issued to the Para 5 of the
G.O.2nd read above.
AMENDMENT
The following shall be added to the Para 5 of G.O.Ms.No.32, Finance
(Pen.I) Department, dated 03.02.2012 namely:-
“Government also hereby orders the revision of rates of Dearness
Relief to the pensioners/family pensioners whose pension was
consolidated as per orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.54, Higher Education
(UE.II) Department, dated 8.6.2011 from 51% to 58% with effect from
01-07-2011.”
