GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH ABSTRACT POLICE – Establishment of (15) Marine Police Stations along the coast of Andhra Pradesh – Creation of certain posts – Orders – Issued. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * FINANCE (SMPC-I) DEPARTMENT G.O.Ms.No. 74 Dated: 24.03.2012. Read the following:- 1. From the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad, Lr.Rc.No. 93/PL-2/2008, dated 18.11.2010. 2. Home (PSC) Department, U.O.No. 1808/PSC/A1/2007, dt. 01.03.2012. oOo O R D E R: The Home Department has informed that the Director General of Police, A.P., Hyderabad, vide reference 1st read above, has stated that basing on the earlier proposals, the Government of India, has approved, in their letter dated 01.11.2010 for establishment of (15) new Marine Police Stations at the following places: Sl. No. Name of the District Proposed new Marine Police Stations 1) Bhavanapadu 1. Srikakulam 2) Ekkuru 2. Vizianagaram 3) Chintapalli 3. Visakhapatnam City 4) Visakhapatnam Port 5) Pudimadaka 4. Visakhapatnam (R) 6) Rajayyapeta 7) Vodalarevu 5. East Godavari 8) Antervedipalem 9) Gollamadugu 6. Krishna 10) Varalagundi 7. Guntur 11) Nizampatnam 12) Kothapatnam 8. Prakasam 13) Ramayyapatnampallipalem 14) Sriharikota 9. Nellore 15) Isukapalli 2. The total cost involved in this proposal for establishment of 15 Marine Police Stations comes to Rs.104,50,22,385/- i.e. recurring expenditure is Rs.15,91,01,040/- (as per 2005 pay scales) and non-recurring expenditure is Rs.88,59,21,345/-. Further the Government of India have also sanctioned a total amount of Rs.143,63,00,000/- towards non recurring i.e. cost of Boats, Vehicles, Jetties, Construction of Marine Police Station Buildings and lump sum grant for purchase of furniture equipment etc. They have informed that the other expenditure like procurement of arms and ammunition may be met under the schemes such as Police Modernization schemes etc. (P.T.O.)3. The Director General of Police, Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad, has, therefore, requested the Government to issue necessary orders for establishment of (15) Marine Police Stations in the said places at the earliest with the strength of 15-Inspectors (Scale of Pay 16150 – 42590) 30-SIs (Scale of Pay 14860 – 39540), 45-ASIs (Scale of Pay 11860-34050), 90-HCs (Scale of Pay 10900-31550), 630-PCs (Scale of Pay 8440 – 24950), 75-PC Drivers (Scale of Pay 8440 – 24950) 30-PC Communications (Scale of Pay 8440 – 24950), 120-Crew members, 45-Followers and 150-Home Guards – Total 1080 (excluding Home Guards) (@1-CI, 2-SIs, 3-ASIs, 6-HCs, 42- PCs, 5-PC Drivers, 2-PC Communication, 8-Crew members, 3-Followers and 10- Home guards to each Marine PS) and also to enroll and utilize 150 Home Guards from the local fishing community members so as to assist Marine Police duly sanctioning an amount of Rs. 43,17,51,960/- as recurring expenditure towards salaries of the strength (as per new pay scales 2010). The said expenditure shall be debitable under the Major Head of Account “2055 – Police MH-001 Directions and Administration-SH-(10)-Marine Police (to be opened)”. The following are the other relevant heads of account to draw Pay and Allowances of the Staff. 1. PAY-011 2. DA-013 3. HRA/ADDL.HRA-016 4. CA-115 5. RA/KMA-012 6. CONTRACTUAL/OUTSOURCING SERVICES-300 4. The Home Department has, therefore, requested to create (15) Marine Police Stations in the places mentioned in para (1) above with the staff and expenditure mentioned in para (3) above. 5. Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord sanction for establishment of (15) Marine Police Stations in the places mentioned in para (1) above with the staff and expenditure mentioned in para (3) above. 6.
