Revenue (CT) Dept., U.O.No. 27780/CT.III.2/2009, dt. 28.03.2012. * * * O R D E R: The Revenue (CT.III) Department has stated that in the G.O. first read above, Government have accorded sanction for creation of one post of Senior Driver (Light Vehicle) in the scale of pay of Rs. 3550 – 7150 for every (10) posts of Light Vehicle Drivers by upgrading one existing post of Light Vehicle Driver in the Departments of Secretariat and in the offices of the Heads of Departments, as well as in the District Sub-Ordinate Offices of their respective unit of department in each District. It is also ordered in the G.O. that “even in cases where the number of posts of Light Vehicle Drivers are less than ten but more than one (1) in certain Departments of Secretariat and in the offices of the Heads of Departments, as well as, in the District Subordinate Offices of their respective unit of Department in each District, only one Senior Driver post can be sanctioned in those Departments / Offices by upgrading one existing post of Light Vehicle Driver. 2. In pursuance of the above orders the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes in the reference 2nd and 4th read above has reported that, basing on the cadre strength of the Head Office of the Commercial Taxes Department and its Division/District Offices, the requirement of Senior Drivers has been prepared, which comes to 26 posts in consonance with G.O.Ms.No. 581, Revenue (SP) Department, dated 24.5.1979 and requested the Government for Creation of (26) posts of Senior Driver (Light Vehicle) by upgrading existing posts of Light vehicle Driver in the Head of Office of the Commercial Taxes Department and its Divisions/District Offices out of the sanctioned strength of 187 posts, which are further continued as per G.O.Ms.No. 352, Finance (SMPC) Department, dated 30.10.2008. (P.T.O.)2 :: 2 :: 3. Therefore in the reference fifth read above, the Revenue (CT) Department has submitted proposal for Creation of twenty-six (26) posts of Senior Driver (Light Vehicle) by upgrading existing posts of Light vehicle Driver in the Head of Office of the Commercial Taxes Department and its Division/District Offices, out of the sanctioned strength of 187 posts as shown in the Annexure. 4. The Government, after careful examination of the proposal of the Revenue (CT) Department and in pursuance of the orders issued in the reference 1st read above, hereby accord sanction for Creation of twenty-six (26) posts of Senior Driver (Light Vehicle) by upgrading existing posts of Light vehicle Driver in the pay scale of Rs. 9200 – 27000 (PRC-2010) in the Head of Office of the Commercial Taxes Department and its Division/District Offices, out of the sanctioned strength of 187 posts as shown in the Annexure. 5.
