Department, U.O.No. 3914/A2/2010, dt. 31.03.2012 * * * O R D E R: The Director of Medical Education has stated that Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC)/S.V.R.R. Government General Hospital/Maternity and Child Health (MCH) Hospital has heavy inflow of out-patients and in-patients, particularly requiring Obstetric /Gynecology and Pediatric specialist care. The Director has informed that the Maternity and Child Health Hospital at Tirupathi is catering to patients not only from Chittoor District but also from other neighboring districts, including from Tamil Nadu. Therefore, the Director has proposed that the hospital requires additional units of Pediatrics and Neonatal units along with additional Obstetric/Gynecology and Anesthesia Unit to meet the increased case load and emergency care. 2. Therefore, the H.M. & F.W. Department has submitted proposal for Creation of six (6) additional units; viz., three (3) Obstetric & Gynecology units; two (2) Paediatrics units; and one (1) Anesthesiology unit at SVMC/Government Maternity and Child Health Hospital, Tirupathi with the following staff to be positioned on regular basis, subject to meeting the costs within B.E. 2012-2013: No. of units Name of the Total No. Sl.No. to be Name of the Post Specialty of Posts. sanctioned 1. The Government, after careful examination of the proposal, hereby accord sanction for Creation of six (6) additional units; viz., three (3) Obstetric & Gynecology units; two (2) Paediatrics/Neonatology units; and one (1) Anesthesiology unit at SVMC / Government Maternity and Child Health Hospital, Tirupathi along with the staff mentioned at para 2 above, to be positioned on regular basis, subject to meeting the costs within B.E. 2012- 2013. 4. The recurring expenditure towards payment of salaries to the teaching and supporting staff shall be met from State Budget and non-recurring expenditure towards civil works, equipment furniture etc., shall be met from NRHM funds, 5. One unit of Anesthesiology and all units of Obstetric. & Gynecology and Paediatrics/Neonatology currently under the control and management of Supdt., SVRR GGH, Tirupati shall be transferred to the control and supervision of the Superintendent Maternity and Child Health Hospital, Tirupati. The staff sanctioned herein will be positioned in the existing Paediatrics/Neonatology Centre and the Institute for Pregnant Women, sanctioned in the reference third cited. 6. The H.M. & F.W.
