The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office, Nagpur, and
District Office, Chandrapur, will organise PM-VBRY incentive disbursement events on
19 June 2026 at K.D.K. College of Engineering, Nagpur, and Chandrapur District
Central Co-operative Bank Ltd., Chandrapur, as part of the nationwide celebrations
marking the successful implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar
Yojana (PM-VBRY).
The regional programmes will be conducted alongside the national PM-VBRY event
to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, in the presence of the Hon’ble Prime
Minister of India. The proceedings of the national event, during which incentives
amounting to approximately ₹2,400 crore will be disbursed through Direct Benefit
Transfer (DBT), will be broadcast live at both Nagpur and Chandrapur venues.
The Nagpur programme is expected to be attended by Hon’ble Guardian Minister of
Nagpur District Shri Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Hon’ble Minister of State Adv.
Ashish Jaiswal and Collector & District Magistrate Shri Kumar Ashirwad. In
Chandrapur, Hon’ble MLA Shri Kishore Jorgewar and Hon’ble Mayor Mrs. Sangitatai
Khandekar are expected to grace the occasion. Around 300 employers and
employees are expected to participate at each venue and receive benefits under the
scheme.
Addressing a press conference at the Nagpur Press Club today, Shri Shekhar Kumar,
Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, highlighted the significance of the PM-VBRY
initiative and informed that 6,183 establishments under the jurisdiction of the EPFO
Regional Office, Nagpur, have already registered under the scheme, reflecting
