Ministry of Culture Nehru Science Centre hosts Creative Ideas and Innovations in Action (CiiA-5) Innovation Exhibition in Mumbai Posted On: 04 FEB 2026 12:13PM by PIB Mumbai The Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai, will host the 5th Edition of the Creative Ideas and Innovations in Action (CiiA-5) Innovation Exhibition & Awards from 5th to 7th February 2026, presenting a powerful showcase of India’s most promising student innovators and early-stage start-ups. Over the years, CiiA has emerged as a significant national platform, strengthening the country’s innovation ecosystem by nurturing and promoting grassroots and institutional innovations. The CiiA-5 Innovation Exhibition will be formally inaugurated on Thursday, 5th February 2026 at 10:30 AM by the Chief Guest, Dr. Shailaja Donempudi, Distinguished Scientist and Head, Business Development Group, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), at Nehru Science Centre, E. Moses Road, Worli, Mumbai. This milestone edition features the Top 100 innovation projects, shortlisted from 656 applications received from more than 150 empanelled institutions across the country. The selected innovations span diverse and high-impact domains including Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Bio-Sciences, Chemical Technology,and start-up-led technological solutions, reflecting the growing depth, quality, and relevance of India’s innovation talent. CiiA-5 serves as a vibrant industry–academia convergence platform, bringing together MSMEs, FMCG companies, industry experts, consultants, HR leaders, and key decision-makers. The initiative facilitates collaboration, pilot projects, technology validation, and real-world deployment of innovations, while enabling industries to address specific problem statements through a robust institutional innovation network. The event is being organised in collaboration with various Government of India institutions, including the Nehru Science Centre, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Education, AICTE, and the Rotary Club of Bombay Worli, with support from other partner organisations.
