The key finding is that this amendment focuses on substituting existing members with new nominees from specific regions and councils, likely to ensure appropriate representation and expertise within the commission.
**2. Introduction:**
This report aims to provide an informative analysis of the amendment to notification S.O. 3659 E, related to the National Medical Commission Act, 2019. The analysis is based solely on the provided policy text and focuses on understanding the nature and implications of the amendment.
**3. Policy Overview:**
* This report focuses on an **amendment** to the original notification S.O. 3659 E, dated October 10, 2019, which was published under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.
* **Core Objective(s) (Inferred):** Based on the text, the objective of the amendment appears to be to update the list of nominated members to the National Medical Commission. The objective of the changes appears to ensure current and appropriate representation across different states, union territories, and medical councils.
**4. Background and Rationale:**
* **Amendment Rationale (Inferred):** The rationale for this amendment is likely due to factors such as the end of terms for existing nominated members, the need for updated representation from specific regions or medical councils, or a re-evaluation of expertise required within the National Medical Commission. The amendment aims to ensure that the commission is comprised of current and suitable individuals.
**5. Key Provisions / Changes:**
This amendment focuses on **substituting existing nominated members** with new nominees. Specifically, the changes are as follows:
* **Changes:** The notification amends the table listing nominated members under clause (c), (d), and (e) of subsection 2 of section 11 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019.

* **Effect of Changes:** The effect of these substitutions is to change the individuals representing these specific states, union territories, and medical councils within the National Medical Commission. This ensures an updated representation based on potentially expiring terms, change in office, or a strategic recalibration of expertise.
**6. Target Audience and Stakeholders:**
Based on the provided text, the target audience and stakeholders directly affected by these changes include:
* The newly nominated members themselves.
* The National Medical Commission and its operations.
