NOTIFICATION In exercise of the powers conferred by the Section 3 read with section-4, 9 and 349 of the Karnataka Municipalities Act, 1964, to exclude Neelangar Village from Shiruru Town Panchayat and as mentioned in the Schedule “A” along with boundaries mentioned in Schedule “B” His Excellency the Governor, hereby propose to be declared as the ‘Transitional Area of Shiruru’ and ‘Town Panchayat Area of Shiruru’ noticing the below mentioned criteria with effect from the date of publishing this Notification in the Official Gazette by His Excellency, the Governor of Karnataka having regard to: i. The population of such area is not less than ten thousand and not more than Twenty thousand; ii. The density of population in such area is not less than four hundred inhabitants to one square kilometer of area; iii. The percentage of employment in non-agricultural activities is not less than fifty per cent of the total employment. The Notification is hereby published for the information of the Public. The persons, who would like to file any objections/suggestions to this Notification, are hereby required to submit the same with reasons in writing to the Director, Directorate of Municipal Administration, 9th Floor, V.V.Tower, Bengaluru within 30 days from publication of this Notification in the Official Gazette. Further, Notification will be taken up for final consideration after the said 30 days period.
