NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 13th May, 2026
S.O. 2484(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of section 34 of the Occupational Safety
Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (37 of 2020) and in supersession of the notification of Government of India
in the Ministry of Labour and Employment No. 4013(E), dated the 19th of September 2024, except as respects things
done or omitted to done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby appoints, the Director General of
Mines Safety in the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad, to be the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator of Mines
for all the territories to which the said Code extends with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the
official gazette, until further orders.
