(क) जबना चश्मे के दरू दजृष्ट का मानक जनम्नजलजखत स े कम नहीं होना चाजहए: (i) बेहतर आंख – 6/6 (ii) कमिोर आंख – 6/9 (ख) आंखों म ें भेंगापन नहीं होना चाजहए। (ग) आंखों का कोई ऐसा िैजवक रोग नहीं होना चाजहए जिससे एक वषय के भीतर दरू दजृ ष्ट प्रभाजवत होने की संभावना हो। (घ) व्यजि को जनस्ट्र्ैग्मस और रंग अंधापन नहीं होना चाजहए। (ङ) रतौंधी नहीं होनी चाजहए। 5. दोनों कानों की सुनने की क्षमता अच्छी होनी चाजहए और उनम ें ककसी भी प्रकार की बीमारी के लक्षण नहीं होने चाजहए। श्रवणमापी परीक्षण सामान्य होना चाजहए। 6. (क) श्वसन तंत्र: छाती सगु रठत होनी चाजहए। श्वसन तंत्र स्ट्वस्ट्थ होना चाजहए और ककसी भी प्रकार के दीघयकाजलक स्ट्वरयंत्र, ब्रोजन्कयल या िुफ्िुसीय रोग स े मिु होना चाजहए। (ख) कम स े कम 300 जमली-एम्पीयर क्षमता वाली एक्स-रे मिीन द्वारा पणू य आकार का पश्च-अग्र छाती का एक्स-रे ककया िाना चाजहए और उसम ें ककसी भी प्रकार के िुफ्िुसीय रोग का कोई प्रमाण नहीं होना चाजहए। (ग) िेिडों की काययक्षमता परीक्षण (स्ट्पाइरोमेरी) ककया िाना चाजहए। िेिडों की काययक्षमता परीक्षण (स्ट्पाइरोमेरी) के पररणाम सामान्य सीमा के भीतर होने चाजहए। (घ) पूणय श्वास लेने और पूणय श्वास छोडने के बाद जलए गए छाती के मापों का अंतर 5 सेमी स े कम नहीं होना चाजहए। 7. Applicability: These standards shall be applicable to every person selected for undergoing training in rescue and recovery work. Compliance Requirement: PART I Standard for medical examination for persons undergoing training in rescue and recovery work Every person selected for undergoing training in rescue and recovery work and every rescue trained person shall be thoroughly examined medically. Particular attention shall be paid to the following requirements- 1. The person shall be in good physical and mental health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with efficient discharge of rescue work. 2. Speech must be without serious impediment. 3. Locomotor System: The limbs, Hands, fingers, feet and toes should be well formed and developed & without any deformity, and function of all limbs should be within normal limits. 4. (a) The standard of distant vision without glasses shall not be less than the following- (i) Better eye – 6/6 (ii) Worse eye – 6/9 (b) There shall no squint in the eyes. (c) There shall not be any organic diseases of the eyes which is likely to affect distant vision within a period of one year. (d) The person shall not be suffering from nystagmus and colour blindness. (e) There should be no night blindness 5. Hearing in each ear should be good and that there is no sign of disease in the ear. Audiometric examination should be normal. 6. (a) Respiratory system: Chest must be well formed. Respiratory system should be sound and free from any chronic laryngeal, bronchial and pulmonary disease. (b) A full sized postero-anterior chest radiograph obtained by an X-ray machine of at least 300 Milli-Ampere strength and there shall not be any evidence of any pulmonary disease.8 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(i)] (c) Lung function tests (spirometry) shall be done. Findings of spirometry shall be within normal limit. (d) The difference of chest measurements taken after full inspiration and full expiration shall not be less than 5 cms. 7. (a)There shall be no evidence of cardiac or vascular disease. (b) Normal heart rate shall not be above 90 or less than 60 beats per minute. The person shall be free from dyspnoea on light exertion. (c) Blood pressure shall not exceed 130 mm of mercury systolic and 80 mm of mercury diastolic. (d) Detailed cardiovascular assessment of employees should be done. This should include 12 leads electrocardiogram and complete lipid profile. The results should be within normal limits. 8. Person shall not have hernia. 9. Person shall not have Hydrocele. 10. The nervous system shall be sound and there shall not be any history of epilepsy or any other organic or hysterical fits or vertigo. Detailed neurological examinations including testing of all major superficial and deep reflexes shall be done. 11. Fasting, Post- prandial Blood sugar and HbA1c shall be tested and shall be within normal limit. 12. Routine urine & routine stool shall be tested and shall be within normal limit. 13. Blood haemoglobin, WBC total count & Differential count, ESR, and Platelets count shall be tested and shall be within normal limit. 14. The gums and teeth shall be healthy and free from any infection. Persons with artificial denture shall be declared unfit. 15. Serum Urea and Creatinine shall be within normal limit. 16. Body Mass Index (BMI) of the person shall be calculated and shall be within normal limit. 17. The candidate shall be required to satisfactorily clear the Height Pass and Vertigo Test. 18.
