Nehru Science Centre (NSC), Mumbai, in collaboration with ROSATOM and Energy
of the Future, hosted Science Festival India 2025, a two-day celebration of
science, technology, and innovation, on 3–4 December 2025 at NSC Mumbai. The
festival was designed for students, educators, families, and science enthusiasts,
offering an engaging mix of hands-on activities, immersive learning experiences,
and creative exploration.
A key feature of the festival was the DIY Science Session, where participants
competed to design and construct the tallest and most stable tower, fostering
creativity, engineering skills, and teamwork. Another major attraction, Nuclear
Quest, was an interactive multi-station science challenge that introduced
participants to atomic structures, clean energy principles, nuclear transport, and
Arctic technologies. Teams navigated four themed zones, earned points, and
competed for prizes through stimulating scientific tasks. A highlight of the festival
was the lecture “Nuclear Myths Busted” by Shri Uday Kashelikar from NPCIL,who explained radiation and nuclear technologies through an interactive
demonstration. Visitors also experienced the Science Movies Almanac, a
showcase of documentary films on breakthrough scientific initiatives, followed by
expert insights from Dr. A. P. Jayaraman, renowned nuclear scientist and science
communicator, on the role of nuclear technologies in improving lives.
NSC Mumbai also presented an original Science Drama tracing the journey of

“Atom” Formation, creating a dynamic atomic model captured through drone
