(a) whether Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) has been launched by the Government
to address the existing deficiencies in post-harvest management infrastructure;
(b) if so, the details of farmers benefited from AIF from Uttar Pradesh, particularly Mathura
district; and
(c) whether it is necessary to increase the production and productivity of agricultural
produce as well as to reduce post-harvest losses through creation of modern post-harvest
management infrastructure and ensure better price realization for farmers in order to
increase the income of farmers?

(a) to (c): Yes, Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) has been launched by the
Government to address the existing deficiencies in post-harvest management
infrastructure and viable farming assets. These include infrastructure such as
warehouses, cold chains, silos, sorting and grading units, pack houses, ripening
chambers, and logistics facilities. Post-harvest management infrastructure helps farmers
store and preserve their produce efficiently, thereby reducing losses and improving value
realization and better linkage with organized markets contributing to increase in income
of farmers.As on 30th June, 2025, in Uttar Pradesh, loan worth Rs.7,097 Crores have been
sanctioned by various lending institutions for 10,217 projects under AIF including 4,136
projects (Rs. 844.96 Crores). The District wise projects sanctioned, including in Mathura
